Scotland shines in 2012 Sunday Times FOOD LIST

The Sunday Times Food List is dedicated to finding the finest dining in Britain, wherever it is taking place. This means that gastronomes looking for that number one in restaurant will be travelling north to Scotland.

Congratulations to Andrew Fairlie for being acclaimed as the #1 restaurant for fine dining in Britain. Fairlie has been establishing his reputation at Gleneagles for eleven years and the Andrew Fairlie Restaurant scored top marks from some 7,500 diners surveyed for the Sunday Times Food List in association with Harden’s.

Scottish restaurants took eight of the top 100 places.  As well as Fairlie’s, the list showcases Restaurant Martin Wishart #8, The Kitchin #8, The Three Chimneys #26, Castle Terrace #58, Martin Wishart at Loch Lomond #73. Number One at the Balmoral #74 and 21212 Restaurant #75.
