Foodies Festive Christmas at Edinburgh’s EICC

On 1st and 2nd December the UK’s largest celebration of food and drink returns to Edinburgh. Hosted at the EICC (Edinburgh International Conference Centre) this promises to be a truly wonderful winter wonderland for food lovers.

With a glorious food market, a Chefs Theatre, the Food Masterclass and a Drinks Masterclass this is perfect for
Top chefs will share their favourite Christmas recipes. the hands-on masterclasses in the food theatre will provide tips and techniques to raise your game.

There will be champagne tastings, Australian and Portuguese wines with Charles Metcalfe and the chance to relax with a mulled wine, a mince pie and a bevvy of carol singers. This could be the ultimate food and drink day of 2012.

Foodies partners include Real Foods, Treacle, Waitrose and Royal Mile Whiskies. Michelin-starred and top Scottish chefs including Jeff Bland of The Balmoral, Jacqueline O’Donnell of The Sisters and Mark Greenaway of Restaurant Jeff Bland of The Balmoral, Jacqueline O’Donnell of The Sisters and Mark Greenaway of Restaurant Mark Greenaway will be re-creating their favourite festive dishes live in the Chef’s Theatre.

Encouraging a more hands-on approach to the traditional Food Masterclass will be The Edinburgh New Town Cookery School providing an opportunity to get your hands dirty making a selection of treats including Christmas canapés and mince pies.
